Eric has accumulated more than 20 years of higher education marketing, consulting and account management with Stamats and Thorburn. He offers strategic counsel and practical experience in all aspects of marketing planning, institutional relations, student recruitment, staff development and brand marketing. Eric has chaired national institutes on recruitment marketing and has presented workshops and conference sessions on strategic and marketing planning, integrated marketing, institutional brand clarification, marketing trends and creative strategy for dozens of professional organizations, colleges and universities across the nation. Prior to his agency assignments, Eric was a regional director for the American Heart Association and spent nearly 15 years at Central College (IA) as director of alumni and college relations, director of admission and vice president for admission and marketing. He was managing partner and chief operations officer at Think Corporation in Des Moines, and an account director for The History Factory in Washington, D.C. On weekends, Eric exercises his right brain. He performs professionally with local jazz, R&B and Latin bands, and hosts various musical events at his lakeside home.
